In addition to the ongoing management and maintenance of existing tax parcels in Buffalo County’s parcel fabric database, we also build, from legal descriptions, Certified Survey Maps, Plat of Survey, Subdivisions, Lots, Outlots, Plat of Survey Parcels, and Public Right of Ways.
Beginning in 2015 Buffalo County is actively participating in the State of Wisconsin’s Parcel Map Initiative. Act 20 and the Wisconsin Land Information Program. The state's primary objective is to collectively produce a statewide continuous coverage parcel map.
The counties participating in the Wisconsin Land Information Program are tasked to provide a complete countywide parcel map by June 30th, 2017. To meet this objective, beginning in March of 2015, the Buffalo County GIS Department & Real Property Lister Department launched an aggressive and transformative parcel mapping project.
As directed by the state, counties are asked to provide periodic detailed updates of their respective mapping Initiative.
